Mondial Hotel Hue

We had an extremely comfortable 3 nights stay. The bed was firm but not hard and there was a choice of 2 pillows each - one thick and the other one flatter. The air con was so quiet we barely noticed it was on. We slept really well. Contrary to what other reviews mentioned our room was nicely appointed, it must have been renovated (we were on the 6th floor). The buffet breakfast was very good with a good selection of continental/cooked breakfast and Vietnamese selection. We had 3 breakfasts there and it was only on our last day that there was a big group but we still managed to get a table. The staff, whether at reception or in the restaurant were extremely kind and helpful. There are free very well maintained bicycles guests can use (used them on our first day and cycled 35km without any problems). The hotel is under 10 minutes walk from the train station. Fantastic value for money.

People are nice. Room is ok. Some sort of balconey with a view on working sites. Elevator can be noisy at night. Cleanliness is ok. Not really sound proof. They are trying. The amenities are regular. I would say that it is a pretty basic place. It has good standards. But it is lacking the extra. The things that makes you stay longer or want to come back. Nothing of the ordinary. Their breakfast is ok but that's it, the room is ok, but not something special. It is somehow at walking distance of many places I was interested to go. The elevator with transparent back is the only thing that could make it special. For the rest... It is just one of these big spaces for professional meetings. They have a small nice area around the swimming pool and a nice terrasse around their restaurant to see the city.

Great location (see the map), close to historical centre and busy streets with a lot of coffee shops. Good furniture, not too old, our rooms must have been newly renovated and painted, quite clean as well. The swimming pool was clean and quite modern if a bit small, same with the gym. Towels were provided. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of dishes, fruit and drinks, fresh and tasty. There was a lot of staff, always smiling and ready to help with anything.

The pool looks good (unfortunately I haven't used it yet). Very easy to get Grab taxi and food delivery to this location. The neighbourhood has a V Mart only 5 mins walk away and many coffee shops and some restaurants.
